What is an ELP? - The European Language Portfolio (ELP) is a personal document in which language learners can record and reflect on their language learning and cultural experiences. ELPs vary according to countries and educational contexts. However, they all share common criteria and were all examined by a Council of Europe accreditation committee which accords an accreditation number. For further information on the European Language Portfolio, please see the Council of Europe website and also the European Centre for Modern Language's website.
The Council of Europe has developed a new dedicated page called "Using the ELP" which includes short video tutorials and information on whole school use and teacher training.
