This is great app which allows

MotionX Dice:

Nice, simple app that allows you

to roll various types of dice,

including number dice and weather dice.



Etch A Sketch:

Great app for drawing and

would have lots of uses in the ML class.



Guess 'Em:

App version of 'Guess Who' which

can be played between iPods.

Lots of scope for language development here.




Create very cool videos using

photographs taken on the iPod/iPhone.




Very useful tool for use in

e-twinning or video conferencing.



Google Earth:

So much work can be done

using this free app with access to the

whole world!




Bump makes sharing files from one

iPod to another very simple.



Blurb Mobile:            

 Great app to create and share short

media stories using your iPhone.



Talking Tom Cat 2:

Tom repeats everything you say in a funny voice

and responds to your touch. Can be recorded on

video. Lots of scope for modern languages here.


I Can Animate:

Create stop-frame animations with this cool app.



Puppet Pals:

This is a great app for the language class. You

can create little video shows with characters,

audio and even photos.



Record your voice and Songify turns it into a song.

Great in language class!

For many years the MLPSI produced a newsletter called Language Links which contained articles, photos and information on training and cultural events related to language learning. It also featured extensive covergae of the language learninig taking place in MLPSI schools. Due to recent budgetary decisions, we are no longer able to produce hard copies of the newsletter, but MLPSI schools receive regular E-Zines by email which contain updates on school events, training and other language events.

2.The Modern Language and Cross-curricular Projects

ICT & Cross-curricular projects -  Work collaboratively with your language teacher in the ML class on ICT projects. Find out how you can motivate your pupils in the modern language class and in other curricular areas here. Video tutorials will guide you on how to use photo story,Vokis and Audacity effectively and with confidence. This page also offers excellent ideas and practical examples for ICT tasks which can combine active learning, group work and ICT.
