Primary/Secondary Links

The benefits of creating and fostering language links between the local primary and post primary school in your community are manifold.  

In this section you will find information and ideas on how best to develop links between schools in your area.

Please also note that if your local post-primary school is interested in introducing Italian or Spanish, they should contact the Post-Primary Languages Initative, based in the Marino Instiute of Education -  
Information about the MLPSI/Goethe-Institut ' An Early Experience in German' competition 2011/2012:

The MLPSI, in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut, launched a German competition 'An Early Experience in German' in November, 2007 at the GDI National Conference. The project aimed to foster language links between the local primary and secondary schools.

Transition year students often apply do work experience in their local primary school. This is an excellent opportunity to include secondary school students in the teaching of the modern language in the class.
